About Herman Stewart "The Artist"
Background
Herman Stewart has had a wide range of art experiences with oil painting. Having had an interest in oil painting from childhood, he has painted seriously and sold art items for over twenty-five years.Painting insprirational landscapes before an audience in churches and other gatherings, he has been able to delight many people over the years with his outstanding painting skills. He does commissioned paintings on almost any subject. However, his latest interest and his greatest ablilities lie in his beautiful portraits.

Education
His art educational background includes several workshops form the well-known oil portrait artist Karen Patton, Goddard, Kansas, who has done a portrait of Senator Dole. He also has had lessons from landscape artist Dorthy Dent, Republic, Missouri; Buck Paulson, Santa Barbara, California; Truby Abbot, and Arthur Bard, now deceased. Other instructors include the distinguished artist Gary Jenkins, who specializes in oil paintings of flowers on TV, along with his wife Kathwren; and Robert Warren, of Canal Winchester, Ohio Herman is a graduate of the New York Institute fo Photography. He holds a bachelors degree in Sacred Literature from the Circleville Bible College, Circleville, Ohio; a Funeral Director and Embalmers degree form the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science; and certification in sign painting from the Capital Sign School, Columbus, Ohio. He has recieved several awards for his Paintings. Presently, along with his painting, he is serving as pastor of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church at Beaver, Ohio
Interests
Hermans main interest is serving the Lord. Apart from that he enjoys early morning walks,kicking back and watching the Beverly Hillbilly's, and taking quiet time to paint.
